Several months ago, the Cleveland Museum of Art approached us about screening RS-MoMV. The date of November 18th was selected and is now coming up fast for this Ohio premiere (https://www.clevelandart.org/events/films/robert-shaw-man-of-many-voices).
Cleveland is, of course, a particularly important venue for any production regarding Robert Shaw. He spent 10 very formative years of his career there working with - and learning from - George Szell. And with the intense training that came from being the Cleveland Orchestra's associate conductor he moved on to become music director of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Our executive producer, Kiki Wilson, will be in attendance to answer questions after the screening. She will also participate in several interviews that we will share with you here. The classical music stations, WCLV, will be airing one interview between 5 and 6 that same day.
